As the flagship model from Gibson Custom, the Les Paul Custom lives up to the high standards set by its 1950s archetype while evolving to a level of tone and performance more suited to today's musical demands. Beneath the layers of its ""tuxedo"" appointments lies the crisp, edgy voice of a matched 490/498 humbucker set, a rosewood fingerboard, a two-piece maple top over a solid mahogany body which adds the perfect amount of sonic bite to everything from jazz to hard rock. It sounds as good as it looks, and it looks as good as it sounds!

The Les Paul Custom holds a special place among Gibson's most cherished and sought-after instruments. It was first released in 1954 and stood out from other Les Paul models with its multi-ply binding, mahogany top and back, mother-of-pearl block inlays, and an ebony fingerboard equipped with low-profile frets. The unique frets earned it the nickname, ""Fretless Wonder.""

This particular Les Paul Custom is from 2012 and is in very good condition, with very mild tarnishing on the gold hardware, as expected on a guitar of this age. It has an amazing flame maple top and a rosewood board with all the case candy and the original COA provided in the hardcase. The pickguard is included but hasn’t be installed.
