Promark Drumsticks
Promark Drumsticks
Promark was founded in 1957 by Herb Brochstein, a professional drummer and drum shop owner. Design, production and operations are all run from their facility in Houston, Texas, and they pride themselves on being a family business to this day - they merged with D’Addario in 2011, which was owned by Herb’s son Maury!
Drumsticks are Promark’s speciality. They offer a wide variety of options made from woods such as hickory, maple and Japanese shira kasha (they’re the first American company to pioneer the use of sustainable Japanese oak). Their designs vary in terms of size and tip design, and the also offer a number of signature options designed with the likes of Mike Portnoy, Chris Adler and many more. As well as drumsticks, they manufacture a number of percussion accessories, including mallets, brushes, cymbal rattlers and much more.
Their manufacturing team employs state-of-the-art machinery to produce their goods, with strict attention to detail and a rigorous QC process. It’s these elements that have kept them at the forefront of the drum world – they’re considered one of the international go-to brands for drum accessories!
