Gibson's semi-hollow and full hollowbody guitars are adored for their rich and open sounds. However, many of them have fairly large and cumbersome body shapes that make them awkward to play, especially when sitting down.

This is where Gibson ES-339 guitars excel. Based on the classic ES-335 formula, these instruments are downsized just a touch. Retaining the same Maple/Poplar body tonewoods that guarantee excellent projection, these guitars are also equipped with versatile Gibson humbuckers for balanced, versatile tones.
