JBL
The JBL Brand logo is instantly recognisable in the PA Systems world, whether that be touring, live P.A. sound, music venues, sports grounds or in the studio.
The company was created by James B Lansing in South Los Angeles in 1946 and JBL have been pioneering speaker development ever since. From the World’s first 2-way studio speakers (the 4320s in 1962), the first high frequency drivers made from titanium in 1979, the World’ first portable PA (the Cabaret Series in 1980), through to 1982’s Model 4675 becoming the first THX approved cinema system and further design firsts such as Array Systems featuring neodymium magnets in the 90s.
Compact portable PA systems is where JBL are probably most recognised. Their product range is ideal for gigging musicians, solo acts, buskers and presentations, or anywhere where you need rugged, lightweight, powerful speakers to handle your sound with professional functionality and fidelity. The JBL EON series is synonymous with live music where they have been extensively used as PA speakers or on-stage monitors. These are followed by the IRX Series and PRX Series that take portable PA to even higher levels. All three series have their respective subwoofers and there are also Column Speaker versions of each, for true compact PA requirements. For ultimate flexibility, there is the One Series which are battery powered versions of the EON, IRX and PRX column speakers.
JBL also have a great range of products for Studio use. Their revolutionary JBL Image Control Waveguide can be found in their 3 Series MkII powered studio monitors which offer stunning detail, precise imaging, a wide sweet spot and impressive dynamic range. These can be paired with the JBL LSR310S 10” subwoofer to create a truly balanced studio reference system. For smaller, more portable monitoring there is the JBL 104-BT desktop reference monitors which have the added bonus of Bluetooth connectivity.
Whatever your sound requirements, JBL have a range for you. And, with a legacy stretching back nearly eighty years, the experience and innovation that goes into their design and engineering ensures the highest build quality, fidelity and reliability.
