Since the late 80s the Fender Custom shop has been the benchmark to which all other Fender electric guitars and basses are compared. With a select team of expert luthiers using only the finest materials and tools, the Custom Shop is famed for producing the best instruments that Fender has ever produced. Described by many as the ‘Dream Factory’, no idea is ever too big!

Originally conceived to take Fender’s guitar manufacturing back to the foundations that Leo laid down with smaller production rates and higher attention to detail, the Custom Shop is known for taking their esteemed, much-loved designs of the ‘50s and ‘60s to levels that were unimaginable back then.

From faithful reproductions of Strats, Teles, Jazzmasters, Mustangs and Jaguar electric guitars as well as Precision and Jazz basses from Fender’s ‘golden era’ to exact replicas of your favourite Fender artist's most cherished workhorse, the Fender Custom Shop will have you covered. Utilising every aspect of Fender's rich heritage and expertise, the Custom Shop build guitars and basses with stories to tell and with the wants and needs of genuine players in mind.

The Custom Shop offers two choices – a team-built instrument which is carefully crafted by Fender’s select ensemble of Custom Shop artisan luthiers or taking things one step further the Fender Custom Shop also offers outstanding Masterbuilt guitars and basses. Master built, one at a time, start to finish by one of Fender's most redeemed and respected expert guitar builders. Quite simply, the best of the best!
