Fender Limited Edition Andertons 60th Anniversary ’64 Road Worn Stratocaster Fiesta Red

In celebration of our 60th anniversary we are proud to offer this extremely limited collaboration with Fender Musical Instruments. This FSR Andertons 60th Anniversary Road Worn Stratocaster in Fiesta Red perfectly captures the looks, vibe and sounds of this top-shelf electric guitar that so many would aspire to play and own when we first opened our doors back in 1964!

We left no stone unturned in our quest to offer the most authentic ‘60s Strat we possibly could. Featuring a ‘60s C-shaped neck with slab Rosewood fingerboard this Strat strikes the perfect balance of speed and comfort and is a pleasure to play up and down the fingerboard no matter what genre. Its alder body provides a balanced and resonant tone with just the right amount of mid-range push to stand out in any situation.

We pushed the limits even further by selecting a special Nitrocellulose Road Worn finish which has been specifically aged to mimic the natural ageing and finish checking that occurs over time, even after only the most careful use. Fiesta Red was chosen for our anniversary models due to its association with being the colour of the first Fender Stratocaster to reach the UK back in late 1959 and its consequential popularity as a custom colour when we first began trading in 1964. Its trio of Fender Custom Shop Fat ‘60s pickups provide authentic vintage Strat tones with added low-end power and bite and this celebratory Strat is perfectly presented with a commemorative neck plate and signed certificate along with an era-correct Fender hard case.

Custom Shop Fat ‘60s Pickups

Designed and made by the Fender Custom Shop, the Fat ‘60s Stratocaster pickup set perfectly captures the highly desired articulate vintage ‘60s Strat tone but with a few updated tweaks. Made using period-correct fibre bobbins, cloth wire, Alnico II magnets, and Formvar magnet wire, these pickups provide authentic vintage Strat tones that are rich in dynamics with a bell-like character. They have been overwound for extra bite and more power in the low-end and the middle pickup is RWRP for no noise in positions 2 and 4.

The Fender Limited Edition Andertons 60th Anniversary ’64 Road Worn Stratocaster celebrates the innervation of this early period in Fender's legendary history and offers guitarists a genuine taste of this bygone era by tapping into the core essence of these early revolutionary models. The special closet vibe, Road Worn Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish in Fiesta Red looks like the real thing. It’s expertly done light finish checking and tarnishing to the hardware oozes irresistible vintage charm and the vintage-voiced, American-made pickups with era-specific neck profiles make it easy to lose yourself in the authentic vibe and mojo!
