If you have placed your order online, you will receive a confirmation email of your order and a separate follow-up text or email to confirm when your item is ready for collection.
Please do not come to the store before you have received the follow-up message, as your order may not yet be ready at the store.
If the only available stock is in our off-site warehouse it can be brought to the store location for you to try - you just need to contact the store within opening hours. Please note any requests received after 3.30pm will not arrive at the store until the following morning.

There is something I just really like about this Fender Custom Shop ’55 Strat. It just looks real and sort of lures you into a proper afternoon playing session. A black Strat, tastefully relic’d with a soft v maple neck, the perfect recipe to be inspired.
With its Ash Body and 50s pickups, this Strat truly rings like a bell. It's super resonant and just wants to be played. Its compound fingerboard radius feels fast and works perfectly with the super comfortable soft V-neck. Built by the team at the Fender Custom Shop, not much can get better than this. With its classic looks and sweet Strat tone, this will be the guitar you always pick up.
Key Features
- Aluminium Gold Pickguard: Does anything look as cool as a Strat with a Relic’d light gold aluminium pickguard?
- Quarter Sawn Maple: Straight-grained and around 50% more stable than a traditional plain-sawn neck.
- 54 Soft V: Favoured by many of the greats, the Soft V is the perfect neck for players who like to feel the neck but still want something that feels ergonomic.
- Super Faded/Aged: Aged to look like it's been someone's number one since 1955. No new guitar anxiety on this one.
Original Woods
Fender's original wood combination of an Ash body partnered up with a Maple neck. The Ash provides a sweet and resonant well-balanced guitar tone which is brilliantly complimented by the brightness and responsiveness of the maple neck.
Compound Radius
The Compound or sometimes called Conical fingerboard radius ensures maximum comfort and playability no matter what style you are playing or where on the neck you are. From around the 12th fret, the fingerboard radius flattens out to create a faster-feeling neck and to make bending and more technical playing feel effortless.

Fender's very own Dream Team. Their very best luthiers working together under one roof. Founded in 1987, the Fender Custom Shop was assembled to create the best of the best, to make things how Leo originally anticipated back in the early 50s and then to take things to places unimaginable back then.
50s Pickups
All the right ingredients for a perfect Strat Tone. Alnico 5 Magnets, Fibre Bobbins, Cloth wire and of course, Formvar-coated Magnet Wire. Medium output for just the right amount of attack while still leaving enough headroom for good dynamics. Everything you associate with good Strat tone, high-end chime with bell-like qualities, focused and with percussive lows.
