Construction
The Texan is constructed of the classic mahogany body and solid spruce top for a round, warm tone with plenty of harmonic richness and direct projection. As with most American-made guitars, the Texan has a nitro finish, which feels great, looks even better and ages beautifully. X-bracing further reinforces the structure and allows an even distribution of vibrations. This is an instrument built to last.
Hardware appointments include nickel plated Grover tuners, a luxurious Indian rosewood bridge and true bone nut for unparalleled comfort and stability. The brilliant LR Baggs VTC under saddle pickup provides excellent tonal recreation through an amp or PA system.
Neck
Epiphone have opted for a ‘D’ shape neck pattern with broader shoulders to fill out the hand; retro in style, retro in feel. This is attached to the body through a super sturdy compound dovetail neck joint. On top is a 12” Indian rosewood fingerboard embedded with 20 legend size frets – more old school features to make this a fully authentic playing experience.
