Duesenberg Starplayer TV
If you're after a Duesenberg, chances are that the Starplayer TV is the one that you'll have seen the most. Its stunning build quality and innovative German design makes it simply a dream to play. The Starplayer TV does have a fairly unique sound, though, which can be attributed to its semi-hollow construction and acoustic-inspired tonewoods; a Spruce top with laminated Flamed Maple back and sides. These materials yield a vibrant and open sound that is translated beautifully when plugged into an amp.
Regarding its electronics and hardware, the Starplayer TV comes equipped with a custom humbucker in the bridge position and a P90 in the neck. Regarded for their clarity and precision, the GrandVintage humbucker and Domino P90 make for a perfect pairing. The Starplayer TV also features Duesenberg's ultra-smooth Deluxe Tremola. Aesthetically similar to a Bigsby, this tremolo lets you change strings far more easily.
Duesenberg Starplayer Phonic
The Starplayer TV Family does feature a few niche models too, although they all follow the same timeless singlecut body shape. The Starplayer Phonic is identical to the Starplayer TV, however it features modified ‘Phonic’ pickups that project a more vintage tone.
Duesenberg Starplayer III
The Starplayer III hearkens back to Duesenberg's roots, taking on the aesthetics of its earliest iteration of the Starplayer. Instead of the carved top that most people will be accustomed to, the Starplayer III has a more straightforward design, with a flat top and back.
Duesenberg Starplayer Special
Last but not least, the Duesenberg Starplayer Special is a solidbody rock machine that features two humbuckers for more potent tones, and a solid Steel Saddle tune-o-matic-style bridge. With an Alder body and a bolt-on Maple neck, you can expect mid-focused tones and snappy highs.
