History of D'addario
The story of D’Addario actually began in a tiny little village In Italy in the 1600s, The D’Addarios were a family of Italian string makers, and after a devastating earthquake hit their home in 1905, they moved to New York in search of a better life.
Right from these early days, Charles D’Addario focused on quality and innovation, talking to artists and even pioneering the use of synthetic strings. This progressive approach has been handed down from generation to generation; and they now feature a pretty impressive artist roster and a dedicated research and development arm to make sure they stay ahead of the curve.
