Ibanez Artcore Series Guitars

This line of vintage-style instruments has been crafted by Ibanez for many decades, featuring some of the oldest designs in the company’s history. With the majority of models boasting a semi-hollow construction, these instruments provide you with the essential features you’d find on an electric guitar but with acoustic-esque bodies.

With their pickups mounted in solid “centreblocks”, the rest of the bodies are hollowed out, lightening the instruments to give them more resonance and vibrancy. Most Artcore series guitars boast this construction and are installed with humbucking pickups, delivering a smooth sound with increased sustain; counteracting the hum that can occur with hollow instruments.

The AFC range within the Artcore series, however, features guitars with full hollow bodies, that give an even bigger sound that is more akin to an acoustic guitar. These instruments are more apt for jazz music, with legendary artists like Pat Matheny and George Benson sporting their very own signature Artcore guitars.
