G&L L-1000, L-2000 & L-2500 Basses
G&L is the final legacy of legendary guitar builder Leo Fender. When Leo, along with George Fullerton, founded G&L in 1979 he, in addition to re-working his old iconic designs, set about creating new ones. To this day, G&L guitars produce instruments that honour Fender & Fullerton’s incredible instrument-making legacies.
In the pantheon of Leo Fender-designed basses, the L-1000 is perhaps the most underrated. This single-pickup model focuses on ergonomics and playability, with a lightweight body, comfy C-shape neck and chrome-plated brass saddles.
When Leo Fender launched the G&L L-2000 bass in 1980, it was clear he was ready to make history all over again. Never before had such a wide range of tones come from a single bass, and throughout its evolution the iconic L-2000 has continued to win the hearts of bassists of every style and musical taste. Dual humbucking pickups, comprehensive tonal controls and an understated appearance paint the picture of a workhorse instrument through and through.
