History of Gibraltar

Founded in 1993, with over a quarter of a century’s worth of experience and know-how, this brand has established a stellar reputation within its competitive industry.

Originally a subsidiary of KMC Music, Gibraltar was sold to Drum Workshop in 2014, with their headquarters now based in Oxnard, California. With DW’s popularity and expertise combined with Gibraltar’s innovation, the company has gone from strength-to-strength since this unification.

The Gibraltar Range

Gibraltar has a large product catalogue, with hardware available for all types of percussion. With kick and hi-hat pedals, various stands, practice pads and clamps/arms forming their line-up, Gibraltar are a go-to brand for serious drummers.

The company’s affordable kick pedal range is ideal for intermediates looking for a high-quality and functional design that doesn’t break the bank. The 5711S and 6711S pedals use single and double chain drives respectively, both featuring a fast touch “G” pedal board design that delivers a great response. With double bass versions also available, metal players can enjoy their immediate feel too.

The 6700 series hardware also boasts similar usability without the high price-tag. Very lightweight to ensure easy transportation from gig-to-gig, their double–braced tripod assemblies provide maximum stability. With the cymbal stands featuring Gibraltar’s gearless brake tilter, you can position your cymbals to pin-point accuracy. All cast G-height adjustments also boast nylon inserts, avoiding unreliable metal-to-metal contact.
