Product Description

Roland's SPD One WAV Digital Percussion Pad gives you the platform to perform using your own range of custom samples and sounds. It'll slot seamlessly into your current rig too; use it either on a flat tabletop; position it on the floor; or mount it to your drum kit using the included adapter. Clamp it to your tom, cymbal or hi-hat stand and you'll be ready to go!

Play Your Way

You can play this pad anyway you like, really. Use drumsticks, your hands, or your feet (if you're so inclined). Certain parameters like trigger threshold and sensitivity can be adjusted in seconds using the hands-on controls positioned on the side. The pad is responsive and highly playable, whether you're a drummer looking for a new element for your setup, or a guitarist who's looking for some stomping beats.

Creative Layering

Experimentation is encouraged here. You'll be able to layer up to three audio tracks on top of one another, meaning just one strike of the pad results in three unique sounds triggering at once. Different sounds can be played depending on the strength of your strike too. Striking lightly might result in a closed hi-hat noise, but hitting harder would trigger an open hi-hat sound.

Highly Portable

The unit is rugged, compact and built to withstand the rigours of the road. Battery operated, lightweight and sleek, its metal construction allows you to confidently take it with you wherever it's required. You'll be able to produce and play sounds while you travel too thanks to a built-in headphone port.

Simple Controls

Ease of use is the name of the game here. To select your sounds, all you have to do is turn the bank selector to one of the twelve positions and then strike the pad to get going. Four main knobs on the front let you lower or increase the volume, customise individual sounds and balance your levels. It's this range of streamlined controls which make the pad a breeze to operate.

Music Production

Integrated USB-MIDI support allows you to use the SPD One WAV Pad as a digital controller for your DAW. You'll be able to add realistic MIDI percussion to your existing or new productions.

The pad can also import and then play WAV files. Whatever you record (be it vocal lines, drum grooves etc) can then be loaded into the pad and played. This can all be done by hooking the SPD One up to your computer or laptop via USB. These samples can then be triggered in a multitude of different ways, from monophonic to polyphonic etc.
